I got into this field to help humans through design—to make the world easier to understand, simpler to navigate, and more enjoyable.

I've been fortunate enough to share my passion for design through teaching and leading teams. Through those experiences I've gained a new understanding of people and empathy. 

With a background in building and managing cross-functional teams, branding and visual design, and creating processes for teams, it seems only natural that I got involved with design systems.

First I built a system for call center applications from scratch and then rebuilt it with newer tooling and a broader audience focus. And, now I’m part of an enterprise-wide system where I focus on the community and operations of building a system that meets the needs of internal and external users across customers’ financial journeys.

I have a couple key motivators: improving the designer and developer experiences, bringing continuity across our products, and creating community around this kind of work.
